Welcome to the Akademie-Eureka!

The name "Eureka" was chosen deliberately. It is an ancient Greek expression for an aha-experience, which we hope occurs with our students, after they discover the German language for themselves.

At the academy we place all students at the forefront regardless skills, knowledge or personal experiences. This is evident throughout all levels and learning phases of the course. All of our teachers are focused on what materials are needed and best suited for the students and the course. In this way the students gain autonomy, determine the pace of learning and contribute to learning with and from each other.

Another important aspect in the academy is to put what has been learned into practice. The lessons must correspond to real-life situations, the linguistic interactions must be based on everyday life and the grammatical exercises must be embedded in useful speaking materials. Only in this way can student´s success be noticed and the motivation to learn increased.

Finally, it should be mentioned that the academy sees itself as a place of encounter and exchange by offering activities that promote speaking. If required and coursework has been successfully completed, a telc language examination can be taken. The Academy is guided by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the guidelines of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF). The Academy helps people from all over the world to experience culture, life and work in Germany through the German language.
